Before everything I want to thank my dear cousin Elmedin for all the hurdles he went through for buying me this iPod, from spending his money to waking up early up on his job day-off.
This is my day, the day when I finally became an iPod Nano Third Generation official owner and I consider this a
milestone. Maybe it’s just me or it is from the joy I’m experiencing right now, but my iPod Nano simply shines, with it’s sleek look, an aluminum front plate and a chrome back plate and perfect sizing. My iPod Nano is light-weight plus light-green skinned. The most compact media player created so far.

I really don’t know but my love about it has thrilled me.
When I first received it, it was packed very wisely and carefully in a transparent plastic box, just like in the image below

Anyways, there’s something I joked about before but now I consider it very crucial, RTFM rule, so basically I followed the rule. Although the FM was in French, German and Italian but no English, I managed my self through in and out it while I also speak German. First thing I did was plug it in the USB port on my laptop and charged it for 3 hours continuously. Then downloaded iTunes and upgraded my iPod to the latest firmware version 1.1 (which seemed to be not really necessary based on this article). Although there was no obvious change from the upgrade it should have fixed some unspecified bugs as it says on most sites.
Then from within iTunes I put some audio files from my computer to the iPod and launched it to feel it’s potential. The Apple logo showed and ta-daa I am there, the main menu appears. Very smooth fonts, smooth move through menus, very nice sounding, I feel like I’m in love for the second time.

It is what it is an iPod was what I always missed.
I have to be honest also, that I am surprised by the extra features I didn’t expect from an iPod, not only it plays Audio and Video file formats, it also allows you to watch photos, run slideshow presentations, option to set alarm clock, shows the date and time from different time zones, stopwatch, notes, contacts and more.
There is a saying by us that when you really run amock about something it will not last too long, I hope this will not happen with my iPod for then I’ll be very desperate.

Nevertheless, there is a thing actually but lets hope not a very serious one.
While connecting and disconnecting my iPod to the laptop, it froze :o . Honestly I never panic but this time is what I did, hopefully there were ways to unfreeze it by pressing and holding MENU and SELECT (middle button) for about six seconds. This way it resets the iPod like a usual computer reset, the iPod rebooted, Apple logo appeared and everything returned back to normality.

I don’t know if it’s necessary anymore that I really enjoy and how much I love this iPod, because if I keep on repeating that I know for sure that my girlfriend will be jealous and she may start thinking that I felt in love with a machine and maybe consider that I’m cheating on her :p

There is some work to do though, because my curiosity never fades, thus I cannot wait to try Microsoft’s portable media player Zune and see the differences between this two but that can wait for now.
